Quarterly patio picnic schedule: bbq ribs | tuesday, June 4

Our ever-popular quarterly patio picnic series returns June 4th! Join us in The Castro on Tuesday, June 4th on our covered, outdoor patio to enjoy Chef Adam’s, annual BBQ Rib Patio Picnic:
  • BBQ country style pork ribs, brown sugar & chili rub
  • Double corn-corn bread
  • Celery slaw, green apples & walnuts
  • Hierloom bean salad, arugula & perserved lemon
  • Charred jumbo asparagus & chilie oil
  • House made Banana cream pie

Quarterly Patio Picnic Schedule: Crab Feast | Tuesday, December 4 & Wednesday, December 5

Executive Chef Adam Timney brings winter’s most delicious catch to the table for our annual crab feast–the 4th and final patio picnic of 2018. Enjoy an evening on our cozy covered patio digging into tasty eats starring fresh-caught local Dungeness crab.

  • Local Dungeness crab
  • Drawn butter and old bay remoulade
  • Warm garlic rolls
  • Arugula & Kale Cesar salad, croutons and avocado dressing
  • Candied Brussels sprouts, bacon & honey balsamic
Perfectly Paired Pours:

Wine will be poured by Jim Malone, head winemaker at Terra Savia.

Our Style: Less is More.
Jim Milone feels quite fortunate to have been making wine from Sanel Valley Vineyards for over 40 years. He is a fourth-generation Hopland Winegrower, following in the footsteps of his great grandfather, who emigrated from Italy as a young man and operated Hopland’s first winery until Prohibition. He grew up working in the family vineyards developing a love for the land that has only increased over time, and founded the first winery in Hopland after prohibition.
His goal in winemaking is to create wines that are true extensions of the grape, vineyard and terroir. Jim’s winemaking philosophy has developed over decades of producing a wide variety of wines from many different locations. His mantra: “Put more effort in the vineyard and minimize treatment in the cellar; winemaking starts when you lay down the first compost in the Fall and prune in Winter.” Every step of wine production, from pruning to bottling, is considered to minimize our impact on the environment and our products.





Quarterly Patio Picnic: Whole-Roasted Pig Tuesday, May 22nd

Our ever-popular quarterly patio picnic series is back for 2018! Join us in The Castro on Tuesday, May 22, on our covered, outdoor patio. Feast on the star of the evening: porchetta-spiced Devils Gulch Roasted piglet from Marin-based Devil’s Gulch Ranch.  Full menu includes:
  • whole-roasted Devils Gulch Ranch pig & salsa verde
  • grilled asparagus, olives & ricotta salata
  • radicchio, endive and apple salad with candied walnuts & dates
  • whole-roasted yukon gold potatoes & rosemary
  • spring berry cobbler, buttermilk biscuit topping & mint whipped cream
Oyster Stout and a rotating IPA (yet to be determined) by Hen House Brewing Company
(beer may be purchased by the glass; it is not included in the ticket price)
